Trainee Teacher of Physical Education (PE)
Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire
Salary: Training Salary / Bursary (depending on route)
Contract: Full-time, Fixed Term (with potential for permanent role upon qualification)

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Teacher of Physical Education to join a dynamic secondary school in Northampton.

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or career changer looking to begin a rewarding career in teaching, with full support provided towards achieving Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

The Role
As a Trainee PE Teacher, you will:

• Work alongside experienced PE teachers to support the delivery of high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
• تدريually take on responsibility for planning and teaching lessons as your training progresses
• Support extracurricular sports clubs, fixtures, and enrichment activities
• Assist in promoting healthy lifestyles and student participation in physical activity
• Receive structured training, mentoring, and regular feedback to support your development

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• A degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related subject (or be on track to achieve one)
• A genuine passion for sport and working with young people
• The ambition to train as a qualified teacher
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• The ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities
• A willingness to contribute to the wider school community

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
