About the Role:

The opportunities working as a SEN Teaching Assistant are endless! This is a part time role, working with a SEN pupil who has severe challenging behaviour and has also been diagnosed on the autistic spectrum. During the week the pupil spends 3 days within a mainstream school, in which the ideal candidate will be supporting in and out of lessons. The following 2 days the pupil will be at a pupil referral unit; inevitably the school aims to reintegrate the pupil back into mainstream five days a week and settle in with peers. On occasion when the pupil is not in you will be asked to provide general classroom support the class teacher.

On a regular basis the school provides extra curricular activities for pupils to participate in such as: swimming lessons, horse riding lessons and music therapy.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
