Teaching Personnel are recruiting teaching assistant on behalf of secondary schools in the boroughs of Manchester, Trafford, Tameside, Stockport and Cheshire East. We are receiving requests for teaching assistants who can work with students that have educational health care plans and need support for moderate learning difficulties, autism, ADHD, social emotional mental health and behaviour.

As a teaching assistant you will be working within a schools SEN department providing 1:1 or small group support to students utilising the tailored individual plans prepared by the schools special educational needs co-ordinator (SENCO). This is a highly rewarding job role as you can directly impact the success of a student's education helping them achieve their best possible results.

Our partner schools will be looking for support staff in the new academic year in September and ongoing through the year dependant on their intake of new and current students. If you are looking to move into education from another work related field such as health and social care, youth work, coaching or mentoring we welcome your application.

Highlights of working as a Teaching Assistant;

  • Paid weekly though our PAYE scheme
  • Regular CPD, training and development courses
  • Working within a supportive SEN department managed by a trained SEN Co-ordinator
  • Part time, full time, temporary and permanent positions

Desirable criteria for this post;

  • Relevant work related experience
  • Work based or educational references
  • Fully enhanced DBS certificate
  • Empathetic personality and desire to work with young people
