Job description

Teaching Personnel is recruiting enthusiastic and experienced Class Teachers for specialist educational settings in the Shepton Mallet area.

These provisions support children and young people with a range of complex additional needs and are looking for educators who can provide engaging, personalised and inclusive learning experiences.

The Role

• Deliver high-quality teaching that meets individual learning needs.
• Plan and adapt lessons to support a wide range of abilities.
• Develop positive relationships that promote confidence and engagement.
• Work alongside support staff and therapists to deliver a holistic approach to education.
• Monitor progress and contribute to individual support plans.
• Create structured, nurturing and stimulating learning environments.
• Support pupils' emotional wellbeing and personal development.

 

We Are Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Previous experience working within SEN, SEMH or specialist settings.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• A creative and adaptable approach to teaching.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A commitment to helping every pupil achieve their potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
