Teaching Personnel is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support specialist provisions in the Street area on a part-time basis from September 2026, with the possibility of an earlier start.

These settings provide education for pupils with a variety of additional needs and are looking for dedicated professionals who can quickly become an important part of their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys helping children overcome barriers to learning and who wants to make a genuine difference in a specialist environment.

About the Position

• Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
• Helping pupils access learning activities and remain engaged throughout the school day.
• Encouraging communication, independence and confidence.
• Assisting with emotional regulation and behaviour support strategies.
• Supporting sensory and practical activities.
• Building positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
• Assisting with personal care where required.

Who We Are Looking For

• Have previous experience working within SEN or SEMH settings.
• Are calm, patient and resilient.
• Can adapt to different situations and respond positively to challenges.
• Have a genuine passion for supporting children and young people.
• Are able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

As these are specialist provisions, we require experienced professionals who can hit the ground running and confidently support pupils from day one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
