Teaching Assistant (Support Work Background Preferred)

Full-time | September Start | Long-term & Temp-to-Perm Opportunities

Pay Rate: £14.25 - £15.00 per hour

Are you an experienced Support Worker looking to transition into education? Do you have a passion for supporting children and helping them thrive in a school environment? We are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants to work across a number of welcoming and inclusive primary schools in the Croxteth area starting in September.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with support work, care, or youth work experience who are keen to make a positive impact in the classroom.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 within the classroom
  • Working 1:1 or with small groups to support learning and development
  • Assisting children with additional needs, including SEN and behavioural needs
  • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
  • Supporting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management
  • Helping to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience in support work, care, youth work, or a similar child-focused role
  • A passion for working with children and supporting their development
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach
  • Ability to adapt to different school settings and pupil needs
  • A desire to pursue a career in education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
