Teaching Assistant (Support Work Background Preferred)
Croxteth, Liverpool
Full-time | September Start | Long-term & Temp-to-Perm Opportunities
Pay Rate: £14.25 - £15.00 per hour
Are you an experienced Support Worker looking to transition into education? Do you have a passion for supporting children and helping them thrive in a school environment? We are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants to work across a number of welcoming and inclusive primary schools in the Croxteth area starting in September.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with support work, care, or youth work experience who are keen to make a positive impact in the classroom.
The Role:
- Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 within the classroom
- Working 1:1 or with small groups to support learning and development
- Assisting children with additional needs, including SEN and behavioural needs
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Supporting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management
- Helping to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience in support work, care, youth work, or a similar child-focused role
- A passion for working with children and supporting their development
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach
- Ability to adapt to different school settings and pupil needs
- A desire to pursue a career in education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
