Job description

Job Title: 1:1 Tutor

Location: M2 5PD, Manchester
Start Date: ASAP
⏰ Hours: Monday to Friday, school hours (flexible)
Contract Type: Part-time / Ongoing


Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and supportive 1:1 Tutor to work with a learner in the M2 5PD Manchester area. The role involves delivering personalised tuition to help improve confidence, engagement, and academic progress.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver tailored 1:1 tuition sessions
  • Adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs
  • Support core subject learning (Maths and/or English preferred)
  • Track progress and provide feedback where required
  • Build a positive and encouraging learning environment

Requirements

  • Experience in tutoring or teaching (1:1 experience preferred)
  • Strong subject knowledge in core curriculum areas
  • Ability to engage and motivate learners
  • Good communication skills
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
