Teaching Assistants (Daily Supply)

Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a number of SEN Schools in the Swale area. We are recruiting experienced teaching assistants to cover short term assignments.

Selected candidates will be called the evening before, or the morning of the booking to cover absence, therefore you must be flexible and confident working in different environments and settings. Working hours will be between 8.20am to 4pm. Candidates can be available on a full and part time basis.

Students have varied needs including Autism (ASD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH). Ages range from primary through to post 16.

Selected applications will ideally have previous experience within a school setting. You must be flexible and enthusiastic with a passion for SEN. Knowledge of PECs, Makaton, Team Teach and tube feeding would be advantageous.

Graduates with some experience, especially those with a Psychology degrees will be considered. You must have proven child related experience.

Key skills and experience needed:

* Minimum A-C GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English

* Previous support work, ideally within a school or child related experience

* One to one and small group work

* Professional manor

* Enthusiasm and friendly approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
