Year 2 Teaching Assistant Needed in Formby
Are you a friendly and supportive individual wanting to aid the learning environment of a Year 2 Class in a mainstream primary school?
Teaching Personnel are working with a mainstream primary school in Formby, L37, who is seeking a full time Teaching Assistant to join their Year 2 Class. The role is to start ASAP (December 2020 or Jnauary 2021) and will continue until at least July 2021.
The role would be supporting the Year 2 class Teacher and pupils. You will be responsible for prepping pupils work, running interventions and group booster sessions and also working 1-1 with pupils who require extra support. Supporting pupils with additional needs such as autism and ADHD may also be required.
The Role:
- Full time, Monday - Friday
- Long term
- Hours approximately 8:30am - 3:15pm
- Year 2 Teaching Assistant
- GBP10 - GBP11 per hour
- Formby area. L37
Responsibilities:
• Providing support within the classroom wherever required
• Delivering activities on one-to-one or small group basis
• Ensuring children are engaged
• Adapting to every individual pupil’s needs
• Helping with behaviour management of children
• Creating displays of children’s work
Individual profile:

• Strong regard for pupil safety-and well being
• Caring, patient, and understanding
• Motivating with ability to engage pupils
• Good ability to manage behaviour
• Reliable and committed fully to each lesson assisted

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
