Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant seeking a new role?

Or perhaps you have experience working with children and would like to now utilise your skills in a classroom environment?

Teaching Personnel Bristol is working on behalf of a Secondary school in Yate that is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join them next term.

This is a full time role. There is potential for very similar part time role in the school, so if you are interested in part time please also apply and state this on covering letter.

  • Full time
  • £57-£65 a day (dependant on experience)
  • School hours - 8.30-3.15

Teaching Assistant Role:

The successful candidate will be expected to support students on both a 1:1 basis, and also within small groups. The support you offer will be varied from academic support, to also supporting students with Special Educational Needs. Most of the time you will be working within the schools SEN resource base, alongside other Teaching Assistants. However, some support will be in class support during lessons.

About the School:

The successful candidate will be joining a comprehensive secondary school situated toward the northern edge of Yate. The SEN department is formed of a resource base with very modern facilities. The needs of the students in the school are varied, the school is particularly well equipped to support students with physical disabilities. The SEN department is well run and you will be joining a very supportive team.


  • Passionate, and motivated individual
  • Some experience working/volunteering/supporting children
  • SEN experience is not a requirement - however, is desirable so please mention if you have this.
