Please see the details of a new opportunity for aspiring secondary teachers to work as a Teaching Assistant in Bolton, starting from September 2020.

-          Full-time Teaching Assistant required, September 2020 start date.

-          Providing in class support to students aged 11-16 and covering lessons in the absence of the class teacher.

-          Aiding young people in small groups and on a 1:1 basis in class – providing invaluable experience prior to completing a teacher training programme in the future.

-          Earn up to GBP400 per week, depending on previous experience.

-          Opportunity to partake in CPD and additional training including Safeguarding, Child Protection and SEN Training.

Working as both a Teaching Assistant within our partner secondary school, you will be responsible for working with students across all age groups, managing the behaviour of pupils both in class and throughout the school day, and providing engaging intervention sessions to ensure all students can excel.

This position is initially being offered with a September 2020 start date and will continue until January 2021 in the furst instance. If funding extends, the role will continue beyond this and will be available until the end of the academic year. It is preferential that the successful Teaching Assistant has previous experience working with children and young people within an educational setting, however full training and support will be provided throughout the position.

Situated in Bolton, this 11-16 secondary school currently has approximately 1000 pupils on roll. Access to the school can be gained via the M61 motorway and for non drivers, there are an abundance of public transportation links that lead directly to the school from Salford and Bury.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
