We are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant, starting ASAP, at a small independent, non-maintained, school. It is a school for young people, from years 1 to 11, with a variety of educational needs including MLD, dyslexia, autistic spectrum, ADHD and BESD (SEMH).
The duties will include all aspects of supporting the learning of students in Key Stage 2, but may involve work through key stages 1 to 4. You will also be supporting outings and leisure activities as well as managing complex behaviours in the classroom.
The successful candidate will preferably have experience of working as a Teaching Assistant in a challenging environment. You will also have experience of working with Key Stage 2 and be competent in supporting work done in the National Curriculum within a Special Educational Needs environment.
