Teaching Assistant - Hackney

Location: Hackney

Hours: 8:30-4:00pm 

Contract: full time and part time

Teaching Assistant - The role

Teaching Personnel work in partnership with 2 of the 3 Catholic Diocese in London and we are currently seeking committed Teaching Assistants to join one of the many catholic schools we work with situated in Hackney. This particular school is a one form entry school in Clapton, where it can be easily accessed via TFL. The School have consistently been graded ‘Outstanding’ in their Ofsted reports and boast an extremely supportive team.

Teaching Assistant - the ideal candidate:

  • Valid DBS (A Child Workforce that is accessible through the Update Service) or willing to purchase one
  • Eligible to work in the UK (right to work in the UK documentation)
  • Educated at GCSE level
  • Educated at degree level (desirable)
  • Holds experience working in a primary class room setting
  • Holds experience tutoring
  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification or higher (CACHE/Diploma)

Details of role:

  • Assisting within a Classroom of 30 Key Stage 1 & 2 pupils
  • Open to working with SEND children
  • Full time role, temporary for a term as attached to funding 
  • Supporting a SEND pupil on a one to one basis
  • Working in partnership with teachers and other professional agencies to provide effective support with learning activities
