Teaching Assistant

Although academic success is the main focus, the school are looking for somebody to assist with vocational learning to encourage personal development.

The school is committed to providing the highest level of learning and need a Teaching Assistant who will ensure that this happens.

The role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic TA who is looking to gain experience within a school environment and gain more knowledge of the Primary curriculum. You will be assisting student s with their class work, which may require you to work closely with small groups of students or even 1:1. You will be supporting the Teacher with their lessons and classroom management and engaging with other members of staff throughout the day. The role is full time and will require you to work 5 days per week during term time only.

This role will start in January 2020 and is contracted for one year.

The successful applicant is expected to:

  • Have a minimum of 6 months experience within a school setting
  • Assist the class and Teacher with all tasks
  • Assess the students learning and think of new ways to encourage progression
  • Deliver fun lessons that are inspiring and challenging
  • Communicate effectively with pupils, parents and other staff members.
