As a result of a specific student’s needs, this secondary school in Altrincham is looking to recruit a male TA who can support a young male student who requires additional support and assistance.

The student has returned after an extended period of time away from school and will be reintegrating back into mainstream classes. The successful male TA will be working on a 1 to 1 basis with this student assisting them with reintegrating socially and with work that they feel they are behind with.

This large secondary school located in the heart of Trafford is a highly supportive school and is a fantastic school to work at for any prospective Teaching Assistant. If this role goes well during the latter half of the summer term, there is the possibility to take on the role in September.

Highlights of the Teaching Assistant position:

  • Pay will be dependent upon previous experience and skill set with the opportunity to earn up to GBP1350 per month
  • Support within this large secondary school in the heart of Trafford
  • Full time Teaching Assistant position, 5 days per week (term time only)
  • Opportunity to take on this role from 7th June and onwards in September if applicable
  • Support a specific student with reintegrating back into school life after an extended period of time out of school  

This school is located in the heart of Altrincham making it very easy to access via public transport. The school is a short walk from the local tram stop as well as having a very large on site car park and being set in a residential area, has plenty of on/off road parking available.

The school has an on site resource centre which is also an inclusion unit. Students are taught here as an alternative provision with its own teachers. This centre is overseen by the school SENCO and Assistant SENCO, with the appointed Teaching Assistant reporting to both. The team of support staff is made up of in excess of 10 Teaching Assistants therefore giving the appointed TA the opportunity to collaborate and learn from other professionals. Any experience of supporting young people with SEN is highly desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
