An excellent school in the Heaton Moor area of Stockport are seeking multiple Graduate Teaching Assistants for full-time opportunities from October 2023 until July 2024. This is an exciting post supporting young people across their class work, 1:1 pastoral support and working with them on extracurricular activities. This is an ideal opportunity for someone interested in completing their PGCE but are seeking valuable school-based experience first.

Earn £1540 - £1700 per month, paid weekly via PAYE no umbrella companies used (salary dependant on relevant experience and qualifications).

Participate in a number of high quality FREE CPD courses to better yourself as an educator.

Work alongside a highly experienced faculty team, learning more each day enabling you to grow in the role.

The school in question hold an esteemed reputation in the Greater Manchester are for being one of the most desirable schools to work at. After its last inspection Ofsted deemed it a ‘good’ school, speaking highly of the committed and dynamic Senior Leadership Team and the support they give each and every department.

They are seeking individuals who are proactive and eager to learn, experience in the role is preferred but not necessary. The school is slightly below the national average for their population of students with SEN, there will be instances where you will work on a 1:1 and small group basis with pupils with additional needs. These requirements could be Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia or Colour Blindness to name just a small number of examples, all training surrounding these areas will be provided by the school.

Additional responsibilities:

Encourage pupils to interact and work co-operatively with others and engage all pupils in activities.

Promote independence and employ strategies to recognise and reward achievement of self-reliance.

Give regular feedback on children’s progress to the class teacher and file records.

Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement.

Attend to children’s personal needs, including minor first aid and provide advice on pastoral, social health and welfare matters.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
