  4. Behavioural and Emotional Support: Implementing positive behaviour management strategies and offering pastoral care and emotional support to students, helping them to develop social skills, resilience, and self-esteem, and promoting a positive and nurturing learning environment.

  5. Collaborative Working: Collaborating with teaching staff, parents/carers, and external professionals to share insights, gather feedback, and develop strategies to support the holistic development and wellbeing of students with SEN.

  6. Resource Preparation and Organisation: Assisting in the preparation and organisation of SEN-specific resources and materials, ensuring they are accessible, engaging, and suitable for the individual needs of students, and supporting the smooth running of SEN provisions within the school.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with SEN, either in an educational setting or through voluntary work, with a genuine passion for supporting and empowering young people with diverse needs.
  • A compassionate and patient approach, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build trusting relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers.
  • Adaptability, resilience, and a proactive attitude, with the ability to respond effectively to challenges, implement strategies, and adapt support methods to meet the changing needs of students.
  • Organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, assist with administrative duties, and contribute to the effective functioning of the SEN department and wider school community.

Benefits:

  • Competitive weekly salary ranging from £419.25 to £500, depending on experience and qualifications.
