Job description

Learning Support Assistant – Winchester

Teaching Personnel are currently supporting a dedicated Learning Support Assistant who is seeking a new role in the Winchester area.

This experienced LSA is looking for a position working 1:1 with a child with autism, where they can provide consistent, patient and nurturing support to help the pupil thrive both academically and emotionally. They have a strong understanding of autism and are confident adapting support strategies to meet individual needs, working closely with class teachers and SEN staff.

Key strengths include:

  • Experience supporting children with autism on a 1:1 basis

  • A calm, empathetic and reliable approach

  • Ability to support learning, communication and emotional regulation

  • Strong teamwork and positive behaviour support skills

  • Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment

This Learning Support Assistant is keen to join a welcoming school where they can make a meaningful difference and build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
