Teaching Assistant in Pupil Referral Unit

Teaching Personnel are looking for a Teaching Assistant who will be comfortable and confident working in Pupil Referral Units in Sheffield. We need someone who is patient and has a drive for promoting student's education in order to reengage students who have been permanently excluded or are at risk of permanent exclusion.

You must have great behaviour management and be able to command control in a classroom setting. Previous experience is preferential but doesn't necessarily have to be from within a classroom setting, this line of work is also excellent for people with experience in youth work.

You will be working in a strong team determined to give pupils a high level of pastoral care. You will be needed to provide therapeutic support to pupils displaying challenging behaviour to determine the underlying reasons for their disengagement in order to reintegrate them into their mainstream schools.
