Position: General Classroom Teaching Assistant
Location: Leyland
Start date: Monday 3rd June 2024
Contract type: Full-time, temp-perm
A secondary school in Leyland are looking to appoint a general classroom Teaching Assistant, who preferably has experience up to KS4, to start following the May half-term. This position is a temp-perm opportunity, should the candidate complete a successful probationary period.
You will report to the school SENCo and join an experienced, skillful and well-resourced team of HLTAs and TAs who work collaboratively across the department and put the needs of the pupils at the heart of everything they do.
Roles and responsibilities:
- KS3/KS4 Teaching Assistant
- SEND/SEMH experience; ASC, ADHD and challenging behaviour preferable
- General classroom support to the classroom teacher
- Assisting with the preparation of classroom activities, displays and before/after-school clubs
- Completing 1:1, 2:1 and small group intervention sessions, predominantly in English, Maths and Science
- Attending department meetings, CPD training, parents evenings etc.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
