Teaching Personnel are recruiting a Teaching Assistant to work across primary schools in the NP19 area. This role is suited to someone who is proactive, reliable and confident supporting pupils in a busy classroom environment.

You will be supporting learning across the school day, working with whole classes, small groups and on a 1:1 basis, including pupils who may require additional support (ALN/SEN).

The Role

• Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
• Provide 1:1 and small group support where required
• Assist pupils with engagement, focus and behaviour
• Work closely with the class teacher to support learning activities
• Help maintain a positive, structured classroom environment
• Support pupils with additional learning needs when needed

The Ideal Candidate

• A proactive individual with a strong “get up and go” attitude
• Confident working with children in a school setting
• Able to use initiative and adapt to different classroom needs
• Patient, calm and engaging with pupils
• Experience working with children (school, nursery, care, youth work or similar) is desirable but not essential
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
