A welcoming and supportive primary school in the NP19 area is seeking a motivated and skilled Intervention Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role involves delivering targeted support to help pupils close gaps in learning and achieve their full potential.

✅ About the Role

As an Intervention Teaching Assistant in a primary school, you will:

• Deliver structured intervention sessions in phonics, reading, writing, and numeracy.
• Work 1:1 and with small groups to boost progress and confidence.
• Support pupils across Early Years, Key Stage 1, and/or Key Stage 2 depending on school needs.
• Use school‑provided resources and assessment tools to track progress.
• Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to adapt learning activities.
• Provide consistent encouragement to help children develop resilience and independence.

What We’re Looking For

We welcome candidates who:

• Have experience supporting learning in a primary school environment.
• Are confident delivering core subject interventions.
• Have good knowledge of phonics schemes (Read Write Inc, Jolly Phonics, etc.) – desirable.
• Are patient, positive, and able to build strong relationships with pupils.
• Can work proactively and follow guidance from teachers and senior leaders.

Teaching assistant qualifications (Level 2/3) are beneficial but not essential.
