Teaching Personnel are recruiting a Teaching Assistant to work in a primary school in the NP19 area that has a strong focus on behaviour support and nurture-based learning.

This school supports pupils with a range of social, emotional and behavioural needs, including those who benefit from working within a nurture class environment. No two days are the same — this is a hands-on role where your presence and attitude will make a real difference.

About the Role

• Support pupils with behavioural and emotional needs
• Work within both mainstream classrooms and nurture settings
• Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
• Support children on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Help pupils regulate emotions and engage with learning
• Work closely with teachers and support staff to maintain structure and consistency

What We’re Looking For

• A proactive, “get up and go” attitude — someone who gets stuck in
• Strong ability to build rapport quickly with children and staff
• Calm, patient and resilient approach
• Someone who doesn’t take behaviour personally and understands it as communication
• Willingness to learn and develop skills within a behaviour-focused setting
• Experience working with children or in challenging environments is preferred but not essential

• Youth Workers / Sports Coaches
• Care or Support Workers
• Psychology or Education graduates
• Anyone with experience managing behaviour or working with young people
