Teaching Assistant (Year 3) – Primary School, Emsworth
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time
Salary: £13.75 per hour
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive primary school in Emsworth, working in a Year 3 class. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils’ learning, including children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
The Role:

Supporting the class teacher in the delivery of engaging lessons across the Year 3 curriculum
-
Working with individuals and small groups, including pupils with SEN, to support learning, progress and confidence
-
Providing targeted support for pupils with additional learning, emotional or behavioural needs
-
Helping to create a positive, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment
-
Supporting the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and advice from the SENCo
-
Assisting with classroom preparation, displays and learning resources
-
Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging independence
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
-
Has experience working with children, ideally within a primary school setting
-
Has experience supporting pupils with SEN (desirable but not essential)
-
Is patient, caring and adaptable, with a strong understanding of inclusion
-
Can work effectively as part of a team and use their own initiative
-
Has good communication and interpersonal skills
-
Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
-
Holds (or is willing to work towards) a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
