Key Stage 1 Teacher – Long-Term Cover
Winchester
Full Time | Until End of Summer Term | Full Teaching Responsibilities

Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a welcoming and well-regarded primary school in Winchester to appoint a dedicated Key Stage 1 Teacher for a long-term cover role.

This is a full-time position with full classroom responsibilities, running until the end of the summer term. The school is seeking a committed and enthusiastic educator who can provide stability, strong classroom practice and engaging learning experiences during this important part of the academic year.

The successful candidate will take on full planning, preparation, assessment and reporting responsibilities, working closely with parallel teachers and senior leaders to ensure continuity and high standards across the key stage.

The Role:

  • Full-time class teacher position within Key Stage 1

  • Full teaching responsibilities including planning and marking

  • Delivering creative, engaging and well-structured lessons

  • Tracking progress and adapting provision to meet pupil needs

  • Contributing to the wider school community

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching within KS1

  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and phonics

  • Confident in assessment and classroom management

  • Committed to raising attainment and supporting pupil wellbeing

The school offers a supportive leadership team, collaborative planning structures and a positive learning environment where staff are valued. While the school would ideally welcome an experienced practitioner, a confident and motivated ECT with strong classroom foundations will also be carefully considered.
