Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant – Intervention Focus – Lordshill

Are you a nurturing and motivated Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting early learning? Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming mainstream primary school in Lordshill who are seeking a dedicated Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to support pupils through targeted intervention groups.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced KS1 practitioner who understands the importance of strong foundations in reading, writing and numeracy. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering small group interventions, helping pupils build confidence and close learning gaps in a supportive and engaging environment.

The Role:

• Supporting pupils across Key Stage 1

• Delivering small group interventions in phonics, literacy and numeracy

• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo to track pupil progress

• Encouraging participation, independence and positive behaviour

• Creating a safe and inclusive space where children can thrive

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have experience working within a KS1 setting

• Demonstrate strong phonics knowledge (Read Write Inc, Letters and Sounds or similar)

• Be confident leading small group sessions

• Show patience, adaptability and enthusiasm

• Be committed to helping every child reach their potential
