Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant – Intervention Focus – Lordshill
Are you a nurturing and motivated Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting early learning? Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming mainstream primary school in Lordshill who are seeking a dedicated Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to support pupils through targeted intervention groups.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced KS1 practitioner who understands the importance of strong foundations in reading, writing and numeracy. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering small group interventions, helping pupils build confidence and close learning gaps in a supportive and engaging environment.
The Role:

Supporting pupils across Key Stage 1
-
Delivering small group interventions in phonics, literacy and numeracy
-
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo to track pupil progress
-
Encouraging participation, independence and positive behaviour
-
Creating a safe and inclusive space where children can thrive
The Ideal Candidate Will:
-
Have experience working within a KS1 setting
-
Demonstrate strong phonics knowledge (Read Write Inc, Letters and Sounds or similar)
-
Be confident leading small group sessions
-
Show patience, adaptability and enthusiasm
-
Be committed to helping every child reach their potential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
