Teaching Assistant

A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Christchurch is seeking a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and challenging behaviour.

The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to support students in both classroom and one-to-one settings, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment. The role will involve building strong relationships with students, promoting positive behaviour, and helping them to access the curriculum effectively.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience working with young people with SEN and/or behavioural needs

• A calm, patient, and empathetic approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A genuine passion for helping students reach their full potential
