Learning Support Assistant – Full-Time | September Start | Weymouth
Are you passionate about supporting young people in their learning journey? We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a dynamic teaching team at a welcoming school in Weymouth, starting September 2025.
Position: Learning Support Assistant

Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, term time only
About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in helping students access the curriculum and reach their full potential. Working closely with teaching staff, you will provide tailored support to individuals and small groups, including pupils with additional educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Support students across a range of subjects and year groups
-
Assist in the planning and delivery of differentiated learning activities
-
Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment
-
Provide one-to-one or small group interventions where required
-
Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals
The Ideal Candidate:
-
Enthusiastic, patient, and committed to helping students succeed
-
Previous experience working with children or young people (in school or similar setting)
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
A team player with a proactive approach
-
Teaching assistant qualifications or relevant training (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
