A specialist SEMH provision in Blandford Forum, is looking for a committed and resilient Teaching Assistant to join our team from September.

Working with secondary-aged students who experience social, emotional and mental health needs, you'll be a key part of a nurturing, skilled staff team who change lives every day.

What You'll Do

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to students both in and out of the classroom

• Build strong, consistent relationships with young people who may have experienced trauma or disrupted education

• Support teachers in delivering a tailored curriculum that focuses on personal growth, emotional regulation, and academic progress

• Contribute to a calm, respectful and structured learning environment that promotes safety and success

What We’re Looking For

• A caring, patient and emotionally intelligent individual who can offer calm support through challenging moments

• Someone who believes in second chances and the potential of every young person

• Experience working with young people or adults with SEMH/other mental health challenges

• A team player with a proactive approach and a strong sense of purpose

• A driving licence/access to a vehicle for occasional travel to Poole.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
