A school in Cheshire East is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join the support staff team after February half term.
Applications are welcomed from:
- Graduates – who are looking to obtain school based experience before a PGCE or related teacher training course in the future.
- Support Workers – who have experience of working with children or adults with SEN.
- Sports Coaches – who have previously worked with large groups of children in the past.
- Youth Workers – with experience in managing behaviour.
The school requires a Teaching Assistant to work with students within the classroom across a variety of different subjects. As a Teaching Assistant, your role will be to work to improve student attainment and engagement within the classroom. Working with the school’s SENCO, the role will enable the candidate to gain invaluable knowledge working with students with SEN. There will be the opportunity to work with children who display more challenging behaviour. This will be present potentially challenging scenarios for the applicant, but will be incredibly rewarding.
It is expected that the applicant will be able to manage any specific pastoral requirements that students may have. Working on both an individual and small group basis when necessary, the role will involve close working partnership with teaching staff.
Pay: GBP275 - GBP350 per week.
The school’s location in Cheshire East has several public transport links close by. It is accessible from Manchester, and has several motorway links within close proximity.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
