Learning Support Assistant – Primary School, Reading
Location: Reading, Berkshire
Start Date: September 2025
Working Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday

Are you an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant with a solid background in supporting children with SEN? This exciting opportunity at a large, inclusive primary school in Reading could be perfect for you.
The Role:
You’ll be supporting children in EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, particularly those with dyslexia, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, working both inside and outside the classroom environment.
Key Duties:
- Deliver 1:1 and group interventions
- Support classroom learning and routines
- Use creative strategies to manage behaviour
- Liaise with SENCO, parents, and support staff
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- At least one year’s experience in a primary setting
- Ability to adapt resources and lessons to meet pupil needs
- Knowledge of EHCPs and SEN provision
- Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
