Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit SEN Teaching Assistants, experienced in supporting students with ASC, SEMH and MLD for our partnership SEN Schools, Alternative Provisions and Secondary Schools with ASC/SEMH Provisions within Sheffield and surrounding areas under a Guaranteed Work Scheme.

Ideally applicants would have experience with ASC, SEMH and MLD in a SEN School from KS1 - KS4 or KS3 - KS4 experience within a Secondary ASC/SEMH Provision. Additional qualifications such as Team Teach and Autism Awareness are desired but not mandatory. We would also welcome applicants with relevant transferable skills such as Youth Workers or Support Workers as well as recent graduates.

Our ideal candidate will have:

-3 months experience supporting students with ASC, SEMH or MLD in a mainstream or SEN setting between KS1 - KS4

-Experience with Team Teach or challenging behaviours

-NCFE/CACHE Level 2 Supporting and Learning in Schools or recent graduate

-Patient and nurturing mannerism

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
