 SEN Teacher – Supply (QTS Required)
Shepton Mallet, Somerset | Immediate Start Available

A highly regarded specialist provision in Somerset supporting children and young people aged 4–18 with Education, Health and Care Plans. The school delivers both primary and secondary education, with secondary work available.

Their pupils have: Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Asperger’s Syndrome, Speech, Language and Communication Needs and Associated social, emotional and learning needs

The school is committed to high aspirations for every learner, delivering a broad and personalised curriculum within a positive, structured and nurturing environment. Staff work as a close, dedicated team, creating a setting where pupils grow in confidence, independence and self-belief.

 

The Role

  • Supply role covering PPA, leadership release, planned absence and sickness

  • Flexible hours based on school need

  • Part-time or full-time opportunities

  • Typical hours 8.30am - 3.30pm

  • Immediate start

  • Teaching across primary and secondary phases

About You

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Minimum 6 months childcare experience, including supporting pupils with SEN needs

  • Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence

  • Resilient, calm and adaptable

  • Passionate about inspiring learners of all abilities

  • Committed to promoting independence and wellbeing

  • Able to collaborate effectively with colleagues and professionals

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
