Are you soon to graduate and looking to take your first steps into a career in teaching? Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside the Future Teachers training programme and have some excellent opportunities for soon to be graduates looking to gain valuable experience while also earning up to GBP300 a week while you learn. This is an excellent opportunity for soon to be graduates considering enrolling in a PGCE course or similar teaching qualification and enables you to gain experience in a secondary school environment while also networking for your future as a teacher.

  • Gain an excellent recognised qualification on your CV
  • Earn while you learn at highly rated secondary schools – up to GBP65 a day
  • Gain experience in a wide range of schools on a part time or full time basis
  • Full support through your training and employment
  • Priority status for SCITT programmes at your school in upcoming academic years

While working with teaching personnel as a graduate teaching assistant you will be automatically enrolled onto the Future Teachers training programme. A course designed to assist graduates in getting their first experience in a teaching environment while also helping local schools source local graduates and mould them into fully qualified and experienced teachers.  This course not only provides graduates with excellent experience as a teaching assistant but will also teach them essential skills needed for a successful career in teaching

Working as a teaching assistant is a very rewarding roll which puts graduates in a great position for a successful career in teaching in the future. As well as helping students reach their potential and assist them in any difficulties they have, whether these are behavioural or academic. You will also be assisting the teachers in the correct running of the class room, including planning, teaching and marking.

Highlights of working as a teaching assistant:

  • Assisting with effective teaching of the pupils in a secondary school class room
  • Enforcing class rules and helping to promote good behaviour
  • Assisting in the planning and marking of class work
  • Working with students in a group situation or on a 1:1 basis
  • Full time and part time hours available
  • Earn up to GBP300 a week
  • Gain valuable experience as a graduate teaching assistant
