Job Description:
Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Bournemouth from April 2026 until the end of the academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate teacher who enjoys working in Upper Key Stage 2 and is committed to delivering engaging and high-quality lessons.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils’ academic progress, confidence, and personal development within a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the Year 5 / KS2 curriculum

Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress

Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
-
Maintain strong classroom management and behaviour expectations
-
Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to support pupil development
Requirements:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
-
Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5
-
Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and assessment frameworks
-
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
-
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
