Teaching Assistant - Barnsley (S71)
Teaching Personnel are currently working closely with a school in Barnsley (S71) that requires the support of an experienced Teaching Assistant. We are seeking a Teaching Assistant who has strong behaviour management skills and is looking for their next challenge. The school (S71) needs the support of a reliable individual who wants to build the relationship with the pupils to improve their educational journey.
The job role and benefits:
- You will work under the instruction/guidance of the teacher and other senior staff members, to ensure the care and support of the pupils
- You will help enable access to learning for the pupils and to assist the teacher in the management of their classroom
- Will involve work within the classroom and outside the main teaching area
- Working in a well respected primary school in the heart of the community
- Excellent transport links
- Supporting class teacher within a strong senior team
You will have:
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Level 2 NVQ for teaching assistants or equivalent, or have relevant work experience
- Classroom based experience
- Training or experience in relevant learning strategies
- Shown initiative and be confident to get involved in all areas of the school
