What is the Future Teachers Programme?
The programme is designed to provide graduates with practical school-based experience before starting formal teacher training. It’s an ideal way to build confidence, gain insight into the profession, and decide whether teaching is the right career path for you.
About the Role
As a Cover Supervisor in a Bristol secondary school, you will:
- Lead classes during short-term teacher absences.
- Ensure students complete pre-set work in a focused, positive learning environment.
- Manage classroom behaviour and encourage student engagement.
- There is no requirement for lesson planning, marking, or active teaching—your role is to supervise and guide students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
