Sports Graduate Teaching Assistant
Job description
Are you a recent Sports or Sports Science graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in a school setting? Do you have a passion for motivating and mentoring young people through sport and physical activity?
We are working with secondary schools’ in Bristol who seek for an enthusiastic and proactive Sports Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team this academic year.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates looking to make a difference in education while developing their own skills in a supportive environment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in classes, lead practical sessions, and support student learning.
- Help run training sessions, ensure safe practice, and give feedback on performance.
- Mark assignments, support tutorials, and guide students with coursework.
- Track attendance, manage equipment, and assist in organizing events.
- Support and motivate students; promote sports and wellness.
- Help with data collection, analysis, and academic projects.
- Attend training and work toward further qualifications.
Who We're Looking For:
- A degree in Sports, Sports Science, Coaching or a related field
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience working with young people in coaching, mentoring, or support roles
- A proactive, energetic and confident approach
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in education, youth work, or coaching

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
