Teacher of Geography – Secondary School – Full-Time – Farnborough – January 2026 Start

A welcoming and high-achieving secondary school in Farnborough is seeking a dedicated Teacher of Geography to join their team from January 2026 until the end of the academic year to cover a period of maternity leave.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident educator with strong subject knowledge to deliver engaging Geography lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. While Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable, it is not essential — the school is keen to hear from subject specialists or experienced educators who can plan, teach, and assess effectively.

Role responsibilities:

• Teach engaging and well-structured Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Plan and deliver lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Mark and assess students’ work, providing constructive feedback
• Contribute to the wider school community through participation in departmental meetings and initiatives
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports progress for all learners

About you:

• Strong subject knowledge in Geography (degree-level or equivalent)
• Confident in classroom delivery and student engagement
• Capable of managing marking, planning, and assessment responsibilities
• Committed to creating a supportive and stimulating learning environment
• Open to both qualified and unqualified teachers with relevant expertise
