Teacher of Geography – Secondary School – Full-Time – Andover – January 2026 Start

Are you an enthusiastic Geography specialist looking for your next teaching opportunity?
A highly regarded secondary school in Andover is seeking a dedicated Teacher of Geography to join their team on a full-time basis from January 2026 or asap year to cover a period of maternity leave.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator with strong subject knowledge to inspire and engage students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You do not need to hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), but you must be a Geography subject specialist confident in planning, delivering, and marking lessons to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach engaging and well-planned Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Mark, assess, and provide constructive feedback to support pupil progress
  • Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
  • Contribute to departmental planning and wider school initiatives
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort, and achievement

About You:

  • Strong subject knowledge in Geography (degree-level or equivalent)
  • Confident classroom presence with excellent communication skills
  • Experience teaching or supporting learners in secondary education
  • Organised, enthusiastic, and committed to student development
  • Open to both qualified and unqualified teachers with subject expertise
