Teacher of Computer Science/IT- Wigan
Teaching Personnel are urgently seeking a Teacher of Computer Science/IT for one of our partner schools within the Wigan area. This vacancy is to start from the February half-term holidays and will be until the summer initially. There is also a strong possibility of this extending from September.
The role is to predominantly teach Computer Science to Key Stages 3 and 4. There will also be some IT included onto the timetable. The incoming teacher will join a team of dedicated staff within the IT department who strive to make sure IT and Computer Science are subjects that the pupils enjoy and engage in.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a school that have made significant improvements over the last few years and are achieving year on year success. It has an extremely ambitious leadership team who have a clear vision to continually raise standards and the outcomes for its pupils.
Further, our partner secondary school is oversubscribed and is a popular choice within the local area. It is situated in the Pemberton area of Wigan which offers good accessibility to the surrounding areas via the M6. There are also excellent public transport links to Wigan town centre and Orrell/Billinge.
The Head of Department and Senior Leadership team are looking to meet with interested candidates as soon as possible. Therefore, for immediate consideration, please submit your full CV to Paul via the link below. Alternatively, please contact the Manchester West Secondary Office of Teaching Personnel on the contact number provided below.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
