Our client, a well-regarded alternative education provider, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher to join their growing team in Thrapston. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with young people who are unable to access mainstream education, supporting them in achieving academic progress and personal growth in a flexible and nurturing environment.

About the Role:
As a Teacher, you will plan and deliver high-quality, individualised lessons to students in non-traditional settings such as community spaces, homes, or outreach centres. Your focus will be on re-engaging learners who may have SEMH needs, SEND, or have experienced interrupted education. The role requires creativity, empathy, and a genuine commitment to inclusive education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver personalised lessons tailored to the needs and abilities of individual learners

• Create a positive, supportive learning environment that fosters confidence and independence

• Collaborate with families, carers, and external agencies to support holistic development

• Monitor and assess academic and social progress, producing regular reports

• Provide consistent encouragement, structure, and emotional support

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification is desirable; experienced unqualified teachers will also be considered

• Previous experience working with students with SEND, SEMH, or in alternative provision is highly valued

• Strong communication and behaviour management skills

• A patient, flexible, and resilient attitude to teaching

• A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (travel between locations may be required)
