Teacher required in Bermondesy for a Year 1 class, covering for maternity leave with potential to be taken on full-time.

School is keen to interview ASAP for this role and the start date would be 05/02/2018.

Pay in range of £130-160 per day, negotiable based on experience.

The most recent Ofsted report for this school is 'Outstanding' and has excellent KS1 results. This role is for a short-term cover for a Year 1 class, with the potential to become full-time after the cover has been completed. This is an exciting role which will offer exceptional experience and potentially a good role within an 'Outstanding school'. The school is located in Bermondesy, the nearest rail station is South Bermondesy station and the school is a 5 minute walk from here. The transport leading into the area is good from central London and also from surrounding areas including driving from Greenwich and Peckham.

A key requirement for this role include being a fully qualified teacher (FQT) with relevant experience as a teacher. Another is for you to also be strong in teaching with Phonics to the Year 1 students, this is an important aspect to this specific role. If you are overseas qualified as a teacher you would also be considered for this role with relevant experience.

The ideal candidate would have the characteristics in which the school is looking for, one of the main skills is that you have a strong drive to deliver knowledge to the students. It is important that you can maintain the achievement of the class and have an interest in being a good communicator and role model for the class. Due to the class being Year 1 you would also be required to be patient and composed when dealing with challenging behaviour from the pupils. The school also want you to have a passion for the role and ensuring the best interests for the class are a priority.

We can also offer a dedicated consultant to support you throughout the whole process who has a genuine interest in delivering excellence to you and your career.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
