Position: Qualified Teacher
Location: Bedford
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday (Term-time only)
Hours: 8:15 AM – 4:45 PM

We are working with a state-of-the-art special school scheduled to open fully in 2026, with capacity for up to 200 students aged 2 to 19. We specialise in educating young people with profound, multiple, or complex learning difficulties, including autism and communication challenges. committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive atmosphere that nurtures every student’s individual potential.
Key Duties:
- Deliver well-planned, engaging science lessons that encourage pupils to achieve strong progress
- Differentiate teaching approaches to effectively meet diverse SEN needs
- Monitor and evaluate pupil progress regularly, offering meaningful feedback
- Prepare reports on pupil achievement in accordance with school guidelines
- Apply positive behaviour management strategies consistently
- Contribute to school events and activities as needed
- Travel between school sites and outreach locations, including transporting pupils when necessary (using your own vehicle)

Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- GCSEs in English and Maths at grade C/4 or above, or equivalent qualifications
- Recognised teaching qualification
- Proficient use of ICT for planning, teaching, and assessment
- Reliable, patient, and trustworthy with a genuine passion for SEN education
- Proven experience delivering successful science lessons to individuals or groups
- Experience working with pupils who have Special Educational Needs
- Demonstrates high levels of empathy, understanding, and tolerance

- Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (can be arranged via Teaching Personnel)
- Two professional references from the past 24 months
- Overseas Police Check if applicable (for candidates who have lived outside the UK for 6+ months in the last five years)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
