Do you have experience supporting sensory needs?

The School:

At this school all the students are affected by sight loss. Working for here means working as a part of one of the UK's biggest charities, supporting almost two million people living with sight loss in the UK. The school offer a safe and supportive environment that helps children achieve their full potential.

The Role:

  • The role will involve working with children with special needs (PMLD/SLD/ASD)
  • Assessing and accommodating individual learning needs of students
  • Working closely with individual children and tailoring the lesson to their needs
  • encouraging the social and emotional development of pupils

Additional Info:

  • Class info: 1 Teacher and 5 TAs for 7 children
  • Mixed age group: Year 7, Year 8 and Year 10
  • Needs: Profound and multiple learning difficulties

The Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Previous Experience with PMLD
  • 2 excellent reference
  • Experience with Braille
  • Experience with Hands on signing or British Sign Language
