Teaching assistant in Deptford required for child with SEN in Year 3
Immediate start.
Ensure you have relevant qualifications for this role and can show us the certificates for proof.
Our basic rate for a TA is £60-75 but can be negotiable depending on amount of experience.
One of our schools in Deptford which was rated 'Good' in the latest Ofsted inspection is looking for a TA who can work closely with a child with autism. The school is based in Deptford which has good transport links in and around the borough and neighbouring boroughs. The pupil is well-behaved but struggles a lot in the communication aspect so finding a TA who can build a relationship with the pupil is essential. This role is long-term as the school require full-time support for the pupil.
The ideal candidate is someone who has worked within SEN before and can deliver a nurturing role for one pupil in the class. Preferably you would have worked with SEN before and also gained some experience with other types of SEN. The type of skills which would be essential are: good communication, patience, interpersonal skills and organisation. Although if you have relevant experience in the primary education sector and are keen in working with SEN pupils, you would be considered without SEN experience.
We can offer a dedicated consultant to support you throughout the whole process who has a genuine interest in delivering excellence to you and your career.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
