Be the Difference Every Day – Join Us as a 1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant in BS13!

Location: BS13, South Bristol
Role Type: Full-time, Long-Term (Mon–Fri, Term Time)
Start Date: Immediate / Flexible


Teaching Personnel is working closely with a fantastic local SEN school in the BS13 area of Bristol, and we're looking for passionate, committed, and experienced educators to provide 1:1 support for pupils with strong additional needs.

This is more than just a classroom support role – it’s about building trust, creating structure, and being a steady, positive force in a young person’s life.


What You'll Be Doing:

  • Working 1:1 with a child who has significant social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH) or other complex learning challenges

  • Supporting with daily routines, emotional regulation, and tailored learning plans

  • Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families

  • Using creative and flexible strategies to help children access learning in a way that works for them


Who We're Looking For:

You might be a:

  • Psychology graduate with a passion for child development

  • Sports coach, youth worker, or someone experienced in mentoring or leading small groups

  • A teaching assistant or learning mentor looking to specialise in SEN

  • Someone with resilience, empathy, and a drive to make a long-term impact

Previous experience with SEMH, autism, ADHD, or behaviour support is highly desirable – but if you bring the right attitude and a willingness to learn, we want to hear from you.
