Be the Difference Every Day – Join Us as a 1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant in BS13!
Location: BS13, South Bristol
Role Type: Full-time, Long-Term (Mon–Fri, Term Time)
Start Date: Immediate / Flexible
Teaching Personnel is working closely with a fantastic local SEN school in the BS13 area of Bristol, and we're looking for passionate, committed, and experienced educators to provide 1:1 support for pupils with strong additional needs.
This is more than just a classroom support role – it’s about building trust, creating structure, and being a steady, positive force in a young person’s life.
What You'll Be Doing:

Working 1:1 with a child who has significant social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH) or other complex learning challenges

Supporting with daily routines, emotional regulation, and tailored learning plans
-
Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
-
Using creative and flexible strategies to help children access learning in a way that works for them
Who We're Looking For:
You might be a:
-
Psychology graduate with a passion for child development
-
Sports coach, youth worker, or someone experienced in mentoring or leading small groups
-
A teaching assistant or learning mentor looking to specialise in SEN
-
Someone with resilience, empathy, and a drive to make a long-term impact
Previous experience with SEMH, autism, ADHD, or behaviour support is highly desirable – but if you bring the right attitude and a willingness to learn, we want to hear from you.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
