Are you a compassionate and motivated individual eager to make a real difference in the lives of young learners? Teaching Personnel is looking for passionate support assistants to work one-to-one with students who have Special Educational Needs (SEN).

SEN may include a range of needs such as mental health conditions, physical disabilities, communication difficulties, and behavioural challenges. This role requires empathy, understanding, and a patient, nurturing approach. You’ll be working with students aged 5 to 16, playing a pivotal role in their personal and academic development.

Position Details
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full academic year
Schedule: Monday to Friday, term-time only
⏰ Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM (subject to school-specific variations)
Locations: Opportunities across Bristol, Bath, and Gloucestershire
Potential to transition into a permanent school contract for the right candidate

What You’ll Be Doing
✅ Provide 1:1 tailored support to a student with SEN
✅ Assist the class teacher in delivering the school’s bespoke curriculum
✅ Help implement Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs)
✅ Build a trusting relationship with your student to foster a sense of safety and belonging
✅ Support learning activities and classroom tasks, offering guidance as needed

The Ideal Candidate
✨ A genuine passion for education and supporting others
Previous experience in an educational setting is desirable—but not essential
️ Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
Able to adapt to the individual needs of different students
Reliable, caring, and motivated to make a difference
