Teaching Personnel is recruiting dedicated Teaching Assistants for the 2025/2026 academic year to support students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). These incredible learners, aged 5–16, may be non-verbal, disabled, and require personal care. Your support could make a real difference in their education and development.


Position Details:

  • Start Date: September 2025

  • Working Hours: 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (may vary by school)

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, term-time only

  • Contract: Opportunity to move into a permanent role for the right candidate


What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Support students with PMLD using a tailored curriculum — in small groups or 1:1

  • Assist with essential care needs such as feeding, washing, and hygiene

  • Engage learners through sensory activities and personalised learning tools

  • Build strong relationships with your classroom team and the wider school community


The Ideal Candidate:

  • Has a genuine passion for helping others and working in a classroom setting

  • Communicates clearly and confidently — a must-have in this role! ️

  • Ideally has experience in care work or support roles

  • Previous experience with SEN or behavioural needs is a plus, but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
