We would be keen to speak to people with a range of experience prior to working with us, for example you could be

  • You may have family members who have SEMH
  • You come from a care home background and are looking for a change of scene
  • You have worked in a mainstream school and want to do something different
  • You have already got a background in SEND/ SEMH and just want a change of environment

What is always important to us is that you want to provide a lasting impact on the academic and personal growth of the students, as well as ensuring the support and nurture that every child deserves. You will also have a strong ability to make relationships with students quickly, understanding that in a lot of cases their behaviour isn't personal but their only way to express themselves. And ideally you will have an interest in working with children who have Austism, SEMH or PMLD.

This school has fantastic opportunities for professional development & continuous support from the senior leadership team. You will work with some incredibly dedicated and supportive staff and in a setting that champions your development through a variety of ways including

  • Scope for career progression
  • Access to counselling advice and support via our employee assistance programme
  • Commitment to wellbeing supported by our occupational health service and mental-health first aiders
  • Generous annual leave and flexible working schemes
  • Government Pension Scheme
